GMP Facility

We are equipped with a certified GMP facility on Northwestern’s downtown Chicago campus. This facility is a resource for generating materials and products under good manufacturing practices (GMP) for enhanced translational efforts. If you are interested in learning more about the facility please complete the form linked below. Alternatively, please reach out to the QSI RENU team directly.

GMP FACILITY USE SURVEY

Skin Biology and Diseases Resource-based Center

The Skin Biology and Diseases Resource-based Center (SBDRC) can facilitate research related to skin or other organs. The Skin Tissue Engineering and Morphology (STEM) Core provides cultures of normal human and mouse epidermal keratinocytes, primary melanocyte and dermal fibroblast cultures, as well as 3-D skin organoid models with various cell types. The Translating Experimental Skin Testing with Immune Tracing, Informatics, and Technology (TEST IT²) Core offers instrumentation and immunological assay services, bioinformatics services, and a unique human testing program. The Gene Editing, Transduction and Nanotechnology (GET iN) Core generates viral, CRISPR, and nanotechnology options for delivering genes and proteins into cells and tissues. The Center also awards several pilot grants annually to apply skills towards skin disease research. Visit the Center's webpage for more information.

Cell and Biomaterials Engineering Core

The Cell and Biomaterials Engineering Core will provide cutting-edge resources in cell culture, cell engineering, and custom 3D printing. Located downtown, this core facility will empower researchers with advanced tools and technologies for groundbreaking discoveries.

Presentation Templates

Researchers should acknowledge QSI RENU and/or its affiliated research center, the Center for Advanced Regenerative Engineering (CARE), in all publications or presentations that involve work supported by QSI RENU or CARE.

To help facilitate this process, we have made PowerPoint templates containing the branding for QSI RENU, CARE, and both entities together available for download. A Northwestern organizational account is required for access.
